OPGW is a specialized optical cable that integrates optical fiber units into an overhead ground wire, combining the lightning protection function of traditional ground wires with optical fiber communication capabilities. It is primarily used for the construction of communication networks on high-voltage transmission lines

Number of fiber cores: 12/16/24/36/48/72/96 cores (common configurations)

Fiber type: G.652 (standard single mode) or G.655 (dispersion-shifted single mode)

Light unit structure: stainless steel tube (seamless design, filled with fiber paste for protection) or aluminum tube

Metal conductor: Aluminum-clad steel (AS), aluminum alloy (AA), or hybrid structure

Mechanical properties: Outer diameter: 10.5mm~15.0mm (varies by model and according to customer requirements)

Mass per unit length: 320kg/km to 475kg/km (subject to customer requirements)

Rated tensile strength (RTS): 42.9kN~80kN (according to customer requirements)

Maximum Allowable Installation Tension (MAT): Typically 40% of RTS (as per customer requirements)

Maximum allowable temperature: instantaneous 200℃, continuous 80℃ (subject to customer requirements)
