Aluminum Covered Line Wire is designed for use on overhead secondary distribution lines. Covered Line Wire is not an electrically insulated conductor and is treated as a bare conductor when installed. The insulation provides protection against circuit interruption due to weather.

Aluminum Covered Line Wire Construction

Conductor	Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 stranded per ASTM B231 or ACSR stranded per ASTM B232 or AAAC stranded per ASTM B399.
Insulation	Weather proofing high density polyethylene (HDPE) or crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE).
Insulation color	Black
